Install guide

Install mkscript on macOS and Linux.

Use these stable commands if you want the same install path to keep working as new releases are published.

macOS

Homebrew install for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

brew install seriousCoding/tap/mkscript

Ubuntu and Debian

Stable GitHub alias for the current Debian package.

curl -LO https://github.com/seriousCoding/mkscript/releases/latest/download/mkscript.deb
sudo apt install ./mkscript.deb

Fedora

Notes

Global shortcut behavior

On Linux, `mkscript` uses `~/.local/bin` for personal shortcuts. On macOS, it prefers a personal `*local*/bin` or `~/bin` path already on `PATH`, then falls back to `~/.local/bin`.
